RES/CON talk: Innovating in the US and beyond

This week, Dara Dotz represented Field Ready at RES/CON in New Orleans, an annual international conference focused on the practice of supporting resiliency and disaster management. This is a renamed conference formerly called International Disaster Conference and Expo (IDCE), a gathering of over 800 participants together for the past several years. Dara, alongside Rich Serino (former Deputy Administrator of FEMA and Chief of Boston EMS), presented to over 40 people on frugal innovation and Field Ready’s application of this approach in several countries. As Dara explains: “We talked about how innovation isn't just technology. It is also about how old systems can be applied in new ways.” From the feedback we’ve received, our projects remain unique and represent a wave of the future in this area.
